The COSD series of ovens are used for curing coatings on long parts—such as mouldings—while being conveyed laterally or side by side. The ovens are constructed with a module steel frame. Each oven is covered by 4”-thick insulated paneling for maximum heat containment.
Convection heat is used to cure parts as they are conveyed though on parallel chains. The air is heated using gas burners or electric heating elements. Temperatures of over 400 degrees are available.
Parts are conveyed through the ovens using high-temperature chain conveyors. The design allows for heavy parts to be handled easily with minimum wear and long life. Plated chain is always used in order to minimize any marking on the backs of the parts. In special applications, belting material is available for delicate parts to eliminate all marking.
The COSD series of ovens are designed to handle parts up to 20’ in length. The ovens and are available in single or dual level configurations. Each frame section is built in 4’ widths for easy handling and efficient shipping. The outer insulated panels are assembled on site to complete the assembly.
